About SFHL

Fifteen years.
One compounding loop.

SFHL Innovations Pvt Ltd was incorporated in 2011 as the parent vehicle for a multi-decade compounding bet — a deeptech studio that engineers across the full growth cycle rather than specialising in any one stage. Fifteen years on, the studio operates from Delhi and Pune, runs the ThinkMPI and SecureMe Devices brands, and has been recognised by Nasscom as one of fifty Indian deeptech companies worth watching.

Thesis

The studio is the unit of compounding, not the project.

Every stage of a business’s growth has a different ceiling problem. Hardware founders bottleneck at firmware. Operators bottleneck at automation. Marketing teams bottleneck at platform performance. Each problem looks different. The studio is the entity that compounds across them — the same engineers, the same model, the same discipline, applied successively.

SFHL is built around that bet. We invest in long-arc technical capability (vision AI, indoor positioning, GIS, edge LLMs, IoT firmware, large-scale deployments) and apply it across whichever client problem is the highest-leverage at any moment. Some engagements are 90-day sprints. Others are five-year retainers. Both compound.

People

Founder-led, with an extended studio network.

Ashish Sharma

Founder & Director

Fifteen years of end-to-end product development across IoT, wearables, indoor positioning, and AI sensor systems. Operates ThinkMPI and SecureMe Devices under the SFHL parent. Continues to carry the founder seat across the SocioApps Foundation civic-tech apps that share the underlying volunteer-network thesis.

Karan Sharma

Operations & Delivery

Co-lead on operations and delivery. Owns client-side relationship continuity and the UpperPin maintenance retainer. Bridges the engineering team and the long-cycle commercial side of the studio.

Extended studio

Engineering · Design · Hardware

A network of senior engineers and designers across embedded firmware, vision AI, GIS, full-stack web, mobile, and industrial design — engaged per project. The studio model means the same hands stay on the same problem stack across years, even when the team composition rotates.

If your problem is one of the four pillars, let's talk.

We onboard one or two engagements per quarter so the studio's depth stays committed to each. The first conversation is 30 minutes, founder-led, no funnel.
